Nature-based social skills for mountain kids.
For many children, nature is the best therapy room. Our Mountain Explorers Social Skills Group is a seasonal, nature-based program for Big Bear & Fawnskin families that blends ABA principles with outdoor adventures.
Examples of activities may include:
Winter: Snow play, turn-taking, and social communication in a playful, structured setting.
Spring / Summer: Hiking scavenger hunts that build joint attention, conversation, and flexible thinking.
Summer by the lake: Sensory-friendly outdoor games and calm lakefront activities (when appropriate and safe).
Each group is led by trained ABA professionals and built around:
