Why Early Intervention Matters

Early childhood is one of the most important periods for learning and development. Between the ages of 3 and 6, children are building the communication, social, and independence skills that help them succeed in school and everyday life.

When challenges are addressed early, children often make meaningful progress that supports long-term growth and confidence. Early intervention ABA therapy focuses on developing these foundational skills in a supportive, structured environment while helping families learn strategies they can use at home and in daily routines.

Supervised by Experienced BCBAs

Every child’s program at Nurture & Nature ABA is designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). BCBAs are highly trained specialists in behavior analysis who develop individualized treatment plans based on each child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. Our clinical team regularly monitors progress, adjusts strategies as needed, and works closely with therapists and families to ensure your child is receiving thoughtful, effective support every step of the way.

Funding Options

Early intervention services may be funded through private health insurance or Regional Center support, depending on your child’s eligibility and coverage. Our team helps families understand their options, navigate the intake process, and coordinate the steps needed to begin services. We know the funding process can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to help guide you through it so your child can access the support they need.

Signs Your Child May Benefit From Early Intervention

Every child develops at their own pace, but some children benefit from extra support as they build important early skills. Early intervention may be helpful if your child:

• Has difficulty communicating needs or expressing themselves
• Struggles with social interaction or playing with other children
• Has challenges with transitions, routines, or following directions
• Experiences delays in play, fine motor, or early learning skills
• Shows strong reactions to changes or frustration with communication
• Has feeding challenges or limited food acceptance
• Could benefit from additional support preparing for preschool or kindergarten

If you’re unsure whether services are appropriate, our team can help talk through your concerns and determine the best next steps.

What the First Step Looks Like

Getting started with early intervention is a collaborative and supportive process. First, families connect with our team for an initial consultation where we learn about your child’s needs, goals, and developmental history. If services are appropriate, a BCBA conducts an assessment to better understand your child’s strengths and areas where support may help. From there, we develop an individualized treatment plan and begin therapy sessions focused on helping your child build meaningful skills for home, school, and everyday life.
